New Recordings From Mark Perna Music and Richie Cole Presents
It's been a while since I updated the blog. We have two new albums in the process of completion. The first is the next Richie Cole album entitled Richie Cole-Latin Lover and features Eric Susoeff on electric and acoustic guitars, Vince Taglieri on drums, Mark Perna on double bass and Kevin Moore on piano and Rhodes. The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered and is in the process of being released. We expect it be released in the Fall of 2017 and we'll update the blog when we have an official release date.
Also coming is a group effort led by Mark Perna and featuring alto saxophonist Mike Sakash, Eric Susoeff, trombonist Reggie Watkins and drummer Tom Wendt entitled Deep Field. It'll be released on the Richie Cole Presents label also, most likely, in the Fall.
New to the MPM website is Christopher Mark Jones' Incantation album (you can find it in the MPM Store). Christopher is a veteran singer-songwriter with a whole bunch of albums in his credits. Incantations features 13 of Christopher's songs and Mark Perna plays double or electric bass on all of them. The album was recorded between October 2015 and December 2016 and features Vince Camut on pedal steel and electric and acoustic guitar, Mark Weakland on drums and percussion as well as a bunch of guest musicians
